Yes, Mathematics is compulsory. Students must have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and must have scored at least 50% marks in their qualifying exam.

Calcutta University has not mentioned a refund policy for BSc students who cancel their admission. Thus, candidates should ask admission desk to confirm whether refunds are granted or not. 

Generally, all institutes follow UGC norms when admissions are cancelled which provide a refund policy.

Yes, Calcutta University has opened its admissions to BSc courses offered by Department of Home Sciences. These admissions were opened in third week of May and candidates could register if they fulfilled their eligibility criteria. However, status of BSc admissions is unknown for other departments of Calcutta University.

Candidates who fulfill Calcutta University BSc eligibility criteria will be required to appear in this institute's in-house entrance exam. This entrance exam is conducted every year and scores obtained in this entrance exam is primary factor during selection rounds.
