The OUAT entrance exam was conducted on June 4 and 6, 2024. The response sheet of candidates and the challenge to answer key of the OUAT entrance exam can be done between June 18 to 21, 2024 on the official website at ouat.ac.in. 

After the release of OUAT results, the rank card will also be released on the official website on July 10, 2024. Candidates will be able to see their rank, which helped them to determine their proximity for admission to various undergraduate & post graduate programmes offered by the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT). 

Earlier the exam conducting authorities released the OUAT 2024 admit card on May 22, 2024. Applicants who successfully filled the application form could download the admit card of OUAT entrance exam 2024. 

To download the admit card applicants needed to enter their application number as well as password (which will be their date of birth). The authorites released the notification as well as application form of OUAT entrance exam for PG and PhD course. The exam will be conducted for a total of 448 seats this year. Students can do the OUAT entrance exam registration between May 20 to June 18, 2024.

OUAT Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The minimum education qualification to pursue a BSc course at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology states that aspirants should have pursued their Class 11 and Class 12 with Science and secured a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks including extra optional. Candidates who have applied for admission under the SC/ST/PH category need to have secured a minimum of 40 percent marks in their qualifying exam.

Additional OUAT entrance exam BSc eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfil in order to secure admission is as mentioned below:

  1. Cleared HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as MIL.
  2. Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL but their parents are permanent residents of Odisha need to furnish evidence of permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate/their employer concerned.
  3. Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL and their parents are also not permanent residents of Odisha but are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha. Such aspirants must furnish a certificate confirming the same from the Head of the Office/Institution where their parent(s) is/are working.
  4. Odia students permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate confirming their Odisha origin either from their Employer/Tahasildar/District Magistrate (of the District in which they are residing). The certificate can also be submitted from the Tahasildar/ District Magistrate of their native place Odisha.

The above criteria (that is point 2 and 4) do not apply to ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign Candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/children of employees of OUAT.

Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years of age as of December 31, 2024 (that is, born on or before December 31, 2005).

Aspirants need to note that admission in all PG programmes is offered through the OUAT entrance exam except for MSc Microbiology, MSc Biotechnology and MSc Computer Science. Admission to these programmes is conducted on the basis of career marks. Students should also know about the list of colleges that accept OUAT exam scores for admission.

Note: The examination centre option filled by the candidates in the application form cannot be changed at a later stage under any circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions of OUAT 2024

Q:   When will OUAT 2024 application form be out?

A:

The application form of OUAT 2024 will be released along with the release of the notification. According to observing the previous year's trend this year's authority may release the OUAT online form tentatively by the last week of April or the first week of May, 2024. 

Applicants who want to appear in the exam are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying online. Along with filling out the form, students need to pay application fees as well and uploading the documents. 

 

Q:   Can I get direct admission in OUAT?

A:

No, there is no such procedure to take direct admission in the OUAT exam. Applicants are required to fill the application form and appear in the OUAT entrance exam for their desired course. 

Since there are two entrance exams OUAT UG & OUAT PG, hence applicants who want to take admission in their desired course need to apply accordingly. 

The application form, release of admit card, answer key & result will be released in online mode only.

The OUAT marks are only valid for the current academic year. The counselling will start in August 2024. The admit card will be released on May 22, 2024 and the exams will be conducted on June 4 and 6, 2024. The results will be declared on July 10, 2024.
