Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences, Mumbai University conducts NEST in collaboration with NISER Bhubaneshwar. NEST is an online test conducted once in a year. The NEST syllabus is designed to cover the core concepts in the four Science subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Aspirants are offered seat in Integrated MSc based on NEST score.

To get admission to the B.S. in Biological Science program at IIT Madras, you need to qualify through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Mains) and JEE (Advanced) exams, not the IISER exam.
