In West Bengal there many top ranking government engineering colleges including IITs and NITs.
The following are the top colleges in West Bengal under the government ownership:
1) IIT Kharagpur:
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur or IIT KGP) is a public engineering institution established by the government of India. CBIT and Vasavi College of engineering are the pretty good colleges for CSE but Vasavi College of engineering is better for CSE engineering.
Pros of Vasavi College of Engineering over CBIT:
1. You will be under good as well as strict inspection by faculty in the first year. But, you won't get much time for playtime and extra-curricular activities in the first year.
