TIP: Bachelor of Mass Media and BA in journalism are same courses minus the fact that some universities/colleges do not teach electronic media in BA (Journalism). Please check the details of the course before you apply for it in a certain college/university.
Both these courses require practical hands-on experience along with theoretical classes. For instance, theoretical knowledge about how to do reporting and specific tips for it can be mugged up from textbooks and written in the answer sheets for an exam but the skills come handy only when practical experience is gained on the field. Same goes for camera handling and video editing - which one cannot learn unless they have in-depth knowledge of the equipment they have to use. Hence, a distance learning in this course will not help the candidate who means to pursue a career in mass media.
This being said, if the candidate wants to do a degree only to get an 'undergraduate' tag in their CV and not take up the course as a platform to pursue their career then distance learning is your thing.

Part 1 Consists of - MATHEMATICS
Algebra: Definitions of AP and GP; General term; Summation of first n-terms of series. Arithmetic/Geometric series, AM, GM and their relation; Infinite GP series and its sum.
Logarithms: Definition; General properties; Change of base.
Matrices: Concepts of m x n (m 3, n 3) real matrices, operations of addition, scalar multiplication and
multiplication of matrices. Transpose of a matrix. The determinant of a square matrix. Properties of determinants (statement only). Minor, cofactor and adjoint of a matrix. Nonsingular matrix. The inverse of a matrix. Finding the area of a triangle. Solutions of system of linear equations. (Not more than 3 variables).
Trigonometry: Trigonometric functions, addition and subtraction formulae, formulae involving multiple and sub-multiple angles, the general solution of trigonometric equations. Properties of triangles, inverse trigonometric functions and their properties.
Coordinate geometry
3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry: Direction cosines and direction ratios, distance between two points and section formula, equation of a straight line, equation of a plane, distance of a point from a plane.

elements, aesthetics, colour texture, harmony and contrast. Conceptualization and Visualization through structuring objects in memory. Drawing of patterns - both geometrical and abstract. Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes. Generating plan, elevation and 3D views of objects. Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms. Perspective drawing, Sketching of urbanscape and landscape, common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment etc., from memory.

Placements in architecture, though they exist still are pretty rare. So, mostly 'No'.
You need to apply directly to the firms that you want to work with and hope that you get an interview call and if everything goes well, you'll be able to grab the desired job.
Nowadays, most universities are having some form of placements, they are still in their infancy and hardly two or three companies will come looking for candidates. In most cases, these companies will be project management companies such as L&T or large scale developers such as Sobha builders.
As a fresher, it may not always be a good idea to join such large-scale offices because you might miss out on learning the basics of architecture and construction.
In any case, make sure you are understanding the kind of job profile these companies offer before signing up for any kind of campus placement.
