Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole is a private university that operates from Jaipur. It began its journey from a small place as a college in 1993 and went on to become a university in the year 2009, merely sixteen years later, on campus spread across 100 acres. Its primary focus is on agri-based courses but then a university can flourish if it offers as wide a bouquet of courses as it can and hence has ended up with many streams of study including design.On the other hand, Amity University-Jaipur can into being in 2008 on almost 150 acre campus. The Amity as a name is very well known across India. It offers credit-based courses that give wide choice to the students in selecting courses. It too offers a wide bouquet of courses. To conclude, it's difficult to say which one is better than other in design! Though Amity has been declared as the best private university of Rajasthan, it's neither here nor there since it does not throw any light relative merits of their design courses. I feel that both are on the same level and a student should select the one which is most convenient to him/her.

The Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology is itself a full-fledged programme of 4 years duration. It is a discipline of engineering that deals with the production and manufacturing of the textiles. Although the programme covers every aspect of the textile manufacturing process, one can take up some short-term course alongside the Bachelor's programme to upgrade one's own skills. There are many short-term courses offered by Pearl Academy, NIFT and other institutions that can help in acquiring useful skills and have a better prospect in the career ahead.
1. Since computers are important in every field and textiles are also designed digitally now-a-days, you can opt for a course in CAD for textile. It is a 6-month part-time course by NIFT and can be availed in all its branches.
2. A candidate from textile technology can totally get into manufacturing and merchandising as well and own a business of textiles. Hence, it will be a good option to take up a parallel course in apparel merchandising or apparel production management.

You do not have to pursue any additional course along with Bachelors in Visual Arts. Fine Arts is, theoretically at least, a broad category. However, in order to use it for anything except painting, sculpting or working as a consultant or in an art gallery or museum, then you would probably have to add some other kinds of courses, or even degrees. In fact, even to work at a high level in a museum requires further study in that field.
But with additional study, then you could certainly teach, or go into graphic design, or interior design, or almost any other kind of field requiring design or art. And in fact, many businesses and corporations are today attracted to MBA with art backgrounds - so an art degree can be an excellent adjunct to almost any field of endeavor.
Passing out Viscom subjects is not too difficult, so spend your time to learn and earn and develop the networking!

The placements of MJMC from BCACS are good. Almost all students get placed while the placement sessions. Companies such as Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd. I am doubtful if you will have placement opportunities from anywhere after completing Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) because only exceptional cases get through media jobs after completing their BJMC course from a college in India. Personally, I am an alumnus of Technia Institute of Advanced Studies (IP University)- Batch 2010-13, and the only placement company that I remember coming in is Naukri.Com - which I am apologetic to mention is not a media company. But many students did take the opportunity anyway - since not everybody wants to go into media after course completion.
What I suggest is that one should start preparing for postgraduate colleges of Journalism as soon as they enter the third year of their graduation college. Because only a good post-graduate college can get you a good job - until (obviously) if you are exceptionally good at what you do and a media house hand picks you during your summer/winter internship.

A columnist writes under contract or as a freelancer with a media house. The newspaper or the magazine pays as per assignment or as per the agreed salary/fee.
The first question is about the process or requisites of becoming a columnist: The Skill of Writing and that too with a subtle and serene style which had an excellent sense of engagement is what the hallmark of a successful columnist is.
Along with this, the HOW involves higher level of general awareness and good observation skills. GK and general studies of the asked subject of writing are needed to be the best. The opinion and inclination had to be neutral so that the writing does not show a bias. A course/degree in a language, media, management, research level degree in any stream which one wants to write about should be there. Along with this, one should also have a regular association with media writings.
The starting salary: I have an idea that one gets from 1k to 5k for an article published as a column. Yes, it is quite higher and big for established authors and specialists of the field for which the newspaper or publishing platform has approached the writer.
Salary as a regular contributor goes from 4 lacs to 6 lacs per annum for impressive beginners and from 8 to 12 lacs per annum for the best of writers.

A doctoral degree is the final step to master a particular stream or subject through research and detailed study of all aspects. A Ph.D degree in mass comm. and that too on the subjects of corporate communication and public relations can be pursued from any university which has the valid approvals of UGC and other bodies.
However, when it comes to the quality of research guidance there has to be a smart and correct selection.
A number of Universities offer Ph.D in India. There are private universities as well. It is suggested that, it may not be a matter of corporate communication or PR but the quality and reputation is more important. Any university, with a good standing and faculty can do the best in the mentioned domain of media.

You may opt out for Biyani Group of College (BGC, Jaipur) over Nalanda School of Management. Teachers are very qualified and helpful in nature. What I personally enjoy the most about the college is the events and cultural evenings that are organized in the campus. The library is good but can be improved further. Teachers are very understanding and clear my doubts personally also.
Malls and shopping centers are nearby. The environment is good and well clean. Cleanliness drive is organized regularly and a healthy environment is around the campus. People are friendly and understanding. Guards are around all the time. The faculty is highly qualified, friendly, understanding and easily approachable. They have great expertise in their perspective fields. Ample of faculty is present around the corner to help us understand the real world and environment with a positive approach.
