No, SMIT Sikkim does not have any provision for direct admissions. The admission to SMIT courses is either merit-based or entrance-based. For merit-based courses, the institute shortlists candidates based on their merit secured in the qualifying exam. 

SMIT Sikkim accepts various national-level entrance exam scores to shortlist candidates for entrance-based courses. Also, SMIT conducts its own entrance exam for those who have not appeared for any national-level entrance exam.

The authorities releases SMIT 2025 results in the form of a rank list a few days after the exam is over. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores and rank through the SMIT result. It is to be noted that the authorities will not use any other methods, such as post or fax, to declare the result of SMIT 2025.

The search results indicate that placements at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) are considered relatively similar according to expert opinions. While SMIT does offer good placement opportunities, with companies like Wipro, Cognizant, Tata, BMW, Dell, HP, and Detolite recruiting students based on their performance.

Whereas main recruiters of Manipal University Jaipur are Wipro, DXC, Dell, Philips, PWC, Intel, Microsoft etc. Therefore, both institutions provide decent placement prospects.

You have to check it on their official website for Admission Cutoff Through SMIT Online Admission Test. JEE Mains cutoff is not available now for students. The SMIT Sikkim cutoff 2023 has not been released yet, and the information available is from previous years. The cutoff ranks for B.Tech and MET courses in the year 2022 ranged from 35047 to 48178. You have to contact with admission cell of the college for any new updates. You can always check shiksha.com for detailed information.

The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) offers 180 seats for the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). SMIT also offers 60 seats for the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning).
