See, the salary package for a Social Worker in India completely depends on the employer. For freshers, it can be in a range of INR 2.9 LPA to 5 LPA. If you have some prior experience, you can earn around INR 6 to 8 LPA. It also depends on how much the organisation is willing to provide. Additionally, an MSW degree also makes you more employable and increases the chances of getting a higher package.

To become a registered Social Worker you have to get a relevant degree, such as a BSW or related field. Gain supervised experience through internships or entry-level positions. Consider pursuing an MSW for advanced training (optional). Research and meet specific licensure requirements in your region. Pass the required licensing exams, often administered by the ASWB. During the course of freedom struggle from 1917- 1937, India saw a huge surge in socialism among localites. Even the freedom fighters came under the influence of socialist ideologies for the betterment of society. During the same vourse of 20 years came the great economic depression (1929-33) and made a lot of socialist countries suffer because of proverty and unemployment but USSR survived the economic pandemic, because of it's socialist path. This was one of the major reasons that in 1933 even Gandhiji stressed on adopting socialism among many other supporters of Indian National Congress.
