Yes, it is good. It has better placements, but the fee structure is a little high as it is a private university. You can refer to the rankings and if you get any other colleges better than SRM you could go.
Also, SRM is a very good place for students to get core jobs as many recruiters come for campus interviews.

To take admission in SRM University with a low tuition fee, you need to take the SRMJEE entrance exam, otherwise, you can take direct admission in SRM University through MQT, but the fee is high and it is different from campus to campus and I don't know about IHMs. I think it helps, for any other query, do comment.

The better one is VIT-Vellore because it is widely preferred by the students for B.Tech and CSE. SRM is also good but if you get VIT go for it.
Both are good but the fee structure is a little high as they are private universities.
Salary packages depend on the candidate's skills and also the companies that offer core jobs. The candidates should have some additional skills to get placed easily.

Yes, it is a good one, but the fee structure could be high as it is a private university.
Placements are good. SRM University main campus is mostly preferred.
Select a good course as many core companies will be coming.
All the best.

Yes, JIIT 128 is better than SRM Modinagar for CSE branch, if you talk about only placements.
Though JIIT 128 is still a developing college in terms of infrastructure and facilities, I would still consider it better than SRM.
Reasons to choose JIIT 128:
Comes under the parent JIIT 62 which is pretty good. Placement is done combined with JIIT 62, Vast campus, same curriculum is followed as sec-62 one. SRM is still considered to only attract mass companies with the average placement of mere INR 3LPA with many going unplaced as well Dream companies, do not visit SRM.
