No, there is no negative marking in the UP TGT PGT exam. The UP TGT exam carries a total of 500 marks and UP PGT carries 425 marks. In UP TGT exam, a total of 125 questions are asked of 4 marks each. In UP PGT exam, 125 questions are asked of 3.4 marks each. There is no negative marking in the UP TGT PGT exam for wrong answers or unattempted questions in the exam.

The UP TGT syllabus involves the following subjects- Hindi, Mathematics, Home Science, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, Commerce, Agriculture, Art, Physical Education, Science, Biology, Social Science and Music.
