There are three levels of teaching degrees: a Diploma, Bachelors, and Masters in education. Now, it depends on you what do you want to pursue and which standard kids do you want to teach. And if you want to become a teacher in schools and university's you gave to pass CTET (Central Teaching Eligibility Test). Private tutoring can start without give CTET and with basic knowledge in computer science.

Hello Adrija, One can join teaching profession in a college after PG in a subject. However Ph.D. is now being increasingly sought. I would advise you to have a look at the concerned webpage of UGC for details of the latest circular on the subject.

Central schools like kv jnv required CTET and other private schools have different eligibility. Some State government schools still require B.Ed so prepare with your choice whether it requires B.Ed or not. All the best.

B.Ed is a mandatory qualification required for teaching in all Government Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas and Army/Airforce Schools. If you wish to become a government teacher then you need to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exam as it has become a minimum eligibility criterion for the same. Almost every state and central government conduct their TET exam every year. Even some states conduct the TET exam twice in a year while in some states the TET exam is conducted once in two or three years depending on the vacancies they have.

Hi Anshika,
For becoming a media studies lecturer after pursuing BJMC I would suggest you to go first with a PG course. You must pursue any Masters degree for becoming a lecturer. You can go with MJMC.
