The process of becoming a government teacher (TGT) in UP has certain defined requirements. The first requirement to become a government teacher (TGT) in UP is obtaining a bachelor's degree in relevant subject with 50% marks minimum. A B.Ed degree requires minimum 50% marks as the second academic step after earning an undergraduate degree. After completing the UP TGT exam series known as the Uttar Pradesh Trained Graduate Teacher exam candidates must pass the examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB). There are two exam papers during the exam which distribute 200 marks each. Professionals who manage to pass the UP TGT exam will be chosen by their achievements to join the UP government school staff at a basic monthly wage range between INR 44,900-1,42,400.
