While teaching is the main goal of both the programs a nursery teacher training syllabus is specially designed to meet special requirements and traits of young children. It places a strong emphasis on social and emotional growth, play based learning and fostering a caring atmosphere. On the flip side, a primary teacher training syllabus emphasizes educating teachers for larger age groups and covers a wider range of subjects.

No, there is no negative marking in the UP TGT PGT exam. The UP TGT exam carries a total of 500 marks and UP PGT carries 425 marks. In UP TGT exam, a total of 125 questions are asked of 4 marks each. In UP PGT exam, 125 questions are asked of 3.4 marks each. There is no negative marking in the UP TGT PGT exam for wrong answers or unattempted questions in the exam.

The UP TGT syllabus involves the following subjects- Hindi, Mathematics, Home Science, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, Commerce, Agriculture, Art, Physical Education, Science, Biology, Social Science and Music. Candidates need to choose the UP TGT subject while filling out the online application form.As per the UP TGT exam pattern 2024, a total of 125 questions are asked for 4 marks each. To become a teacher, you need to obtain a B.Ed degree from a recognised university after completing your graduation or post-graduation. Those who finish graduation and B.Ed become TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) whereas those who complete post-graduation and B.Ed become PGT (Post Graduate Teacher). On the basis of one's skills and choices, a candidate can teach primary or secondary or senior secondary students.
