While teaching is the main goal of both the programs a nursery teacher training syllabus is specially designed to meet special requirements and traits of young children. It places a strong emphasis on social and emotional growth, play based learning and fostering a caring atmosphere. On the flip side, a primary teacher training syllabus emphasizes educating teachers for larger age groups and covers a wider range of subjects.

To become a teacher, you need to obtain a B.Ed degree from a recognised university after completing your graduation or post-graduation. Those who finish graduation and B.Ed become TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) whereas those who complete post-graduation and B.Ed become PGT (Post Graduate Teacher).
