Hi, B.El.Ed is a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and D.El.Ed is Diploma in elementary education. They are not equivalent. Bachelor’s degree requires 10+2 with minimum 50% and 2-year diploma in elementary education whereas D.El.Ed requires 10+2 passed (any stream).

As a B.El.Ed graduate, you can opt for a professional teaching career or pursue further studies like M.El.Ed or M.Ed, at the postgraduate level.

If you don't have any prior training in education and teaching you have to earn a degree in a relevant field. However since you have teaching experience certain waivers can be given. Also, you have to be clear with the kind of teaching position you are looking for - child psychology, subject teacher, counselling, educational administration etc. Check here:
