A relaxation of five years in age criteria is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC and PwD. Women candidates of all categories are also given age relaxation. This means that the upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates is 35 years if they apply for the role of JRF.

to appear for UGC NET in Sociology the candidate should follow the following eligibility criteria as per the gudelines issued by the authority .

Candidates holding foreign degrees, diplomas, or certificates, or post-graduate diplomas from Indian universities or institutes, should, in their own best interests, find out from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, whether their diplomas, degrees, or certificates are equivalent to master's degrees from accredited Indian universities.

hi.

You can still apply for the UGC NET Exam if the final exam results for your Masters degree are awaited. However, you will be only considered for the award of JRF and Lectureship when you pass the master’s degree with the required percentage within 2 years of UGC NET Result declaration. Otherwise, you will be exempted from it.

If you have secured at least 55% marks in Masters Degree or equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this. These conditions should be meet to eligible for this exam.

The eligibility for M. Voc or master's in vocational is 10+ 2+ 3. Or having a bachelor's degree in vocation. Masters in vocation is a 2 year course and requires 5 Lacs approximately. 

Candidates who wish to appear for the UGC NET exam must have a master's degree or its equivalent from a recognised university with at least 55% marks. However, As per UGC NET Eligibility, the minimum percentage required for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates is 50%.
