National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Determination of Minimum Qualifications for Persons to be recruited as Education Teachers and Physical Education Teachers in Pre-Primary, Upper Primary, Secondary, Senior Secondary or Intermediate Schools or Colleges) Regulations. Minimum educational qualifications as laid down in the Recruitment Rules for the teachers by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) and other schools. Candidates should satisfy their eligibility before applying for the exam as they are fully responsible in case they are not eligible to apply as per the given CTET eligibility 2022. If a candidate has been allowed to appear for the CTET 2022 exam, it does not imply that his or her eligibility has been verified. The eligibility will be finally verified by the concerned recruiting body or school.

The eligibility criteria for the course is passing 10+2 from a recognised board securing 55% aggregate in either English or any of the languages from List A1, and set of best three subjects that is to be selected from List A and B respectively out of which one must be the subject in which the candidate is seeking admission, failure to do so will result in deduction of 2.5% imposed on best four aggregate. Physical education is considered elective/academic subject only when doing honours in physical education. Otherwise choosing Physical education in best four will lead to deduction in marks.

You must also pursue Bachelor of education course which is two year long in duration. After completing Bachelor of Education you will be eligible for government teaching job. Depending on the graduation course of the candidate, he/she is trained to teach different subjects. For example arts graduates are trained to teach subjects like History, Geography and languages. Yes, you can pursue B.Ed and M.Com together in the same year but one should be in regular mode and the other in distance mode. IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2022 Eligibility Criteria must be satisfied for candidates to apply for the exam. Aspirants can check the eligibility criteria for IGNOU B.Ed entrance admission in detail below:
