B.Ed is a course in which the candidates are trained in teaching for normal students like the students without any disabilities. Special B.Ed is a course in which the candidates are given training in teaching for disability students like mentally retarded, deaf, dumb and blind students. Special B.Ed candidates are given special training in teaching special students and it is very special course very few people take such type of courses. After completing course in Special B.Ed the candidates are appointed in different special schools. There is no better or worse. Both are equally noble. It is a matter of how you choose it according to your interest and attributes. B.Ed prepares students for teaching at mainstream schools while a Special Education degree enables one to handle and help children with learning disabilities. Thus the latter is more suitable for someone with extra patience and love for the disabled. If you are someone with these qualities. B.Ed in Special Education might be a thing for you, otherwise B.Ed is an equally good choice.
