Hi
The minimum eligibility criterion for admission to B. Ed. is that the student must be a graduate in any discipline. The candidate must either have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) or Bachelor in Commerce (B.Com) from any recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Also, if the student has completed their postgraduate degree, then minimum 55% marks in aggregate is the criterion. The subject's choice is generally made on the basis of your graduation subjects so you may go for maths, Science or English. It also depends on the combinations offered by the universities. All graduates under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet are eligible for seeking admission in B.Ed. You can pursue B.Ed after completing M.Com to start your career as commerce PGT. You can pursue MA in economics through distance learning to avail opportunities to teach economics as a subject.

Just check the eligibility criteria of college or university you are applying to. Generally, you may take any of the subjects studied at grad or post grad level.
