The World Rankings ranks UMel at #19 in 2026. The ranking has declined from #13 in 2025.

Yes, for the highly competitive courses at the University of Melbourne, Indian applicants would generally need to meet stricter admission requirements than the general programs available here. Look at the example and its implications given below -

The pathway programme is primarily offered via the Trinity College Foundation Studies.
