UGC NET is the exam which is the gateway of becoming an Assistant Professor and the researcher. NTA conducts the UGC NET exam to examine the post-graduated candidates who wish to become an assistant professor or researcher. The exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December. Before NTA CBSE used to conduct the exam. In December 2018, NTA conducted its first UGC NET. Exam pattern is the same for all the subjects taken by the UGC NET. There is no subject under NTA UGC NET which will follow the different exam pattern. For Political Science also NTA will have the same exam pattern. Previously exam was conducted in three Paper. NTA UGC NET has changed the exam pattern from July 2018. The exam will be conducted in two parts I. e. Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 is a General Aptitude subject which is a compulsory subject for all the candidates and Paper-2 was an optional subject which was opted by the candidate at the time of filling their application form. Exam pattern is as follows:
Paper-1 consists of 50 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes
