Hi,
To become a lecturer in college, you have to complete Post Graduation in the subject you want to become a Lecturer. To become a Lecturer you have to apply, appear and crack NET (National Eligibility Test) examination conducted by UGC two time a year for selection of Lecturer. The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having completed Post Graduation with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST candidate) from a recognized University. Thanks.

Hello, UGC NET Exam is mainly conducted for the aspirants those want to make career in the lectureship and Research programme. If you qualify the UGC NET Exam you can make career in lectureship or go for Research. Hello Anu,
Yes, all the students who qualified or in qualifying year of post-graduation can apply for the NET exam. They can pursue for the exam with the subject or related subject in which they completed their Masters. According to your subject the best option for you is UGC NET Environmental Science But make sure that your aggregate marks are not less than 55% marks. If you will apply researcher then your age must not exceed 30 years.

Hi Deep, Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. Yes, you are eligible for the UGC NET exam. UGC NET is a national level exam to examine the ability of candidates for holding the position of lecturer or researcher. The basic requirement of the NET exam is that you should have Master's Degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks or if you are from OBC/SC/ST/PwD category, then you should have minimum 50% aggregate marks. But, make sure that the subject which you select for UGC NET exam is related to your post-graduation subject.
