Hello,
If you wish to appear in UGC NET Exam, then you must require to check the essential qualification and age limit criteria as given below:
Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD/OBC). Candidates who have appeared for the last year's examination of the post-graduation and waiting for the results are also eligible to appear in UGC NET Exam. For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), age limit is 30 years. Candidates can appear in UGC NET Exam for Lectureship as many time as they want. The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the notification for conducting the UGC NET 2018 Exam.

UGC exam has few science streams. M.Sc in organic chemistry would come under the chemical Science stream. This exam would cover questions from different Science streams which come under chemical Science like organic and inorganic chemistry.
The exam is for 2 1/2 hours and has two papers. The first paper will contain general science questions. This will be common for all exam streams of NET. Paper 2 will have short answer questions and this is specific to each Science stream. This will be in descriptive form. On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conducted twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges.
