Candidates always get confused to choose the appropriate subject for appearing in NET (National Eligibility Test). As you have completed postgraduation in Bioinformatics than it will be beneficial for you to appear in CSIR NET Exam in Life Science. CSIR NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Eligibility Test) is the national level eligibility test for all the Science stream aspirants. Hi Anjana,
After completion of M.Sc or when you are in final semester, you can apply for UCG NET. As you are in just 1st year means you are not eligible for UGC NET at present. * Eligibility criteria :-
You must score 55% or above marks in M.Sc. To become eligible for UGC NET if you are General and OBC Category candidate. If you are SC/ST category then you need only 50% marks in Post Graduation. So you can start preparing for UGC NET from now and please make sure that your percentage in according to UGC NET rules otherwise you will not be eligible for it. Hi Jagriti, Yes, you can apply for the UGC NET exam if you have scored 58% in post graduation. Because the eligibility criteria is minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters if you belong to the general category or if you from OBC/SC/ST/PWD category, then you should have minimum 50% aggregate percentage. UGC NET Economics exam is the important part of UGC NET Exam among the more than 80 subjects included in the National Eligibility Test. Hello Nlmiya,
Yes, you can appear for UGC NET environmental science according to your post-graduation subject. Make sure that you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks if you belong to General category or if you belong to OBC/SC/ST/PwD category then you will get the relaxation in percentage of aggregate marks. According to guidelines of NET exam there is an age criteria also, i.e. if you want to apply for NET JRF then your age must not exceed 30 years. For assistant professor this criteria is not applicable.
