Kindly look for all the subject/ course list approved by UGC for NET examination. As far as my knowledge, management course is enlisted but not MBA (healthcare).

Regular, private, distance all three modes are valid if the university is approved by UGC. Check out the detailed eligibility below:
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as humanities, social science, electronic science, computer science & applications, etc.). Candidates who are willing to appear in upcoming UGC NET 2018 should be well aware with the eligibilities for the exam. As per the UGC NET eligibility criteria, the candidate who is in the final year of Post-Graduation or have passed his post-graduation with 55% marks (For General) or 50% (For ST/SC/OBC/PWD) marks from a government recognized institute are eligible to appear for the exam.

Yes from July NET will once again be conducted twice a year, and a two-paper exam will replace the earlier three-paper format. As per the new exam pattern, there will be two papers: paper I will comprise objective questions to test the teaching abilities, aptitude and approach of candidates towards engaging students.

Best UGC NET books preparation are: True man and UGC NET/JRF/SLET General Paper-1 Teaching & Research Aptitude Book. Solving last year question paper and taking mock series is a good way to score.

You can select the subject you have studied in M.Sc. This subject must be included in the list of subjects given in UGC website. As microbiology is included under the list for CSIR NET you can take the test in the same stream. Please check for detailed eligibility to appear for the NET exam as mentioned at the link provided below:
