You need to have secure at least 55% marks in your Master's degree exams (in streams such as humanities, social science, electronic science, computer science & applications, etc.). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories is 50%.

Hi Nidhi, Yes. For NET in Environmental Sciences, a candidate should have at least one of the subjects in his/her PG:
Botany
Zoology
Chemistry
Environmental Sciences

You can only apply for NET examination if you got more than 60% in your MBA and if the test criteria is completed, you will be eligible for NET examination.

It depends on person to person. UGC NET is one of the toughest exam conducted in India for the aspirants who wish to get a position of a lecturer and wish to get Junior Research Fellowship in India's reputed institutes. It's tough if you think it's tough. Your success in UGC NET exam will depend on your dedication, determination and on your discipline. UGC NET exam is a national level test which offers the aspirants to become Assistant Professor/Lecturer or Junior Research Fellow. Last year, UGC NET exam was conducted on 5th November 2017 and the result for that exam was announced on 2nd of January 2018.
