For admission to the University of Luxembourg, the Indian students must have a Secondary School leaving certificate. Whereas for admission to the PG courses of the Luxembourg Uni, students should have a Bachelor's degree. Students must show language proficiency too, wherever required.

Luxembourg Uni is a good option for Indian students. It is a good choice for students because it offers low tuition fees. The tuition fee for Indian students at the Uni of Luxembourg is low. It ranges between INR 22k - INR 89.2k. 

  • Also, international students at the Uni of Luxembourg can work 15 hours per week while studying.

No, since the University of Luxembourg is a very competitive university, meeting the minimum grade does not guarantee admissions.

The acceptance rate is around 20 to 30% which is quite less for Indian students. Given below are the aspects of admissions which are taken into account - 

  • The applications are reviewed holistically 
  • Documents like strong motivation letters, SOPs and LORs are very important for Indian students
  • Applicants should have the language proficiency of English, French or German

The University of Luxembourg is very strict about the subject relevance. It actually requires a UG degree in a related field of study along with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits.

Look at the guidelines given below for the University of Luxembourg admissions -

  • Direct course alignment is required

The Times Higher Education ranks the University of Luxembourg in the year 2026. As far as the Luxembourg University rankings go, for the year 2026, this institution ranked at #251 which is a huge decline from its previous year ranking of #201 for both years 2025 and 2024.

According to the QS rankings 2026, the University of Luxembourg is ranked #381 under its world university category.  

The courses like Biological Sciences, Law and Legal Studies, Mathematics, Medicine, etc. are ranked well under the same.

Yes, QS ranks the University of Luxembourg in 2026.  As per the QS Global rankings, the University of Luxembourg ranks at #381 for the year 2026 under the 'world university category'.

This position has declined from the last year as it was #355 earlier in 2025.

Indian students are required to have a strong academic background and performance in class 12th with subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for BTech (Bachelor of Technology) programs at the University of Luxembourg.
