According to the Class of 2023 UMBC employment report, 93% of all degree recipients are employed and / or pursuing further education within 6 months of graduation. International students must aim to score a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 or above on the 4-pointer scale. The minimum score does not show that the students will get the entry with this minimum mark. Students must achieve much more than that to grab a place in UG or PG programs. Along with the GPA score, students must perform well in academics and prove their English language proficiency. Also, they must submit official transcripts of previously attended colleges, GRE scores (optional), current resume, portfolio, and LOR.

The application fee at the University of Maryland Baltimore County for international students is USD 75 (INR 6.3K) for UG and USD 50 (INR 4K) for PG. The students must fulfill the basic eligibility and submit the required documents at the time of application filling. Once the student uploads all the required details and documents, they must submit the application fee for the UG or PG program. The eligibility and document requirements vary as per the course. As per the Shiksha Ranking, the University of Maryland College Park has an overall university rank of #105. In terms of ranking and reputation the University of Maryland College Park is better than the UMBC. In addition, the University of Maryland College Park has an acceptance rate of 45% which is almost half of the UMBC acceptance rate (74%). This shows the University of Maryland College Park is more stringent during admission and getting admission there is quite difficult.
Both universities are reputed, provide tremendous opportunities, and rank well. Choosing a better one must depend upon the student's choice and priority.
