To obtain an F-1 visa to study at Southern Methodist University in the USA, Indian students need to submit the following documents. To obtain an SMU I-20: the International Student Financial Statement form, a copy of the picture page from their passport, and original financial verification from a bank or financial institution, on bank letterhead, from the student or their sponsor, dated within six months of the time of I-20 issuance. Account balance (s) must be shown in an amount greater than or equal to the total estimated costs. Additionally, students must provide proof of their ability to study in the USA.

There is no much difference ibetween appling to Pratt Institut and other universities in USA. The process and the documents required is almost similar. Some key pointers are: Undergraduate applicants have two options: Early Action or Regular Decision, both of which are non-binding. Applications open in August each year, and deadlines vary depending on the program. Transfer students must apply using the Pratt online application, and international students must submit English proficiency test scores within two years of the priority deadline of January 5th, 2024.  

All international applicants must meet certain admission standards to pursue higher education at Southern New Hampshire University. These are the requirements for undergraduate/bachelor's courses:

Academic Requirements:

• Academic documents, including a high school Diploma showing proof of graduation from high school;
• Signed attestation form attesting to the completion or expected completion date of high school requirements; and
• Earned GED with applicable dates and locations.

English Proficiency Exam Score Requirements:

• IELTS: 6.0 & Above; OR
• TOEFL: 71 & Above; OR
• PTE: 50 & Above; OR
• Duolingo English Test: 105 & Above.
