VFX

All the three are entirely different. First, decide whether you want to go into technology / programming side or design / creative side. Suppose you are keen in a career which uses creativity/design etc. then cloud computing should not be chosen. Next, check whether you want to get into corporate level employment or studio based film environment. Accordingly, you should choose either web or VFX as your field. Finally, if you zero down on the web, then get into UI / UX design course. That's the present and is also the future. A web designer will start with 12000 - 18000 monthly pay even if it is a great company. But a UI Designer starts with minimum 30,000 and there are freshers who even start with 40,000 in companies like TCS, Amazon, Flipkart etc.

VFX is a specialized subject of study. It is just not about learning computer software as certain students think. As VFX is linked with Film making, cinematography, photography, storytelling, direction, working on VFX software, having a good knowledge about CG etc., an Under Graduate Degree is a must if one is serious about making big in the VFX industry. Unfortunately in our country, passionate students are often misled or not given encouragement by parents and their family members as they are not completely aware about the subject of study and the vastness of the career scope. But, things are improving fast and nowadays thousands of youngsters are showing great interest to pursue VFX as a degree program.

Comparing engineering and multimedia is totally wrong. From the academic point of view, the subjects of study in engineering is completely different from the subjects one learns in animation. Both engineering and animation have their own scopes. In India, engineering has been studied by several cores of people in the last several years.
In today's scenario, except a small percentage, majority choose engineering thinking that they will get a good employment in IT company. So, except 15-20% of engineers who score good mark and have excellent subject knowledge and practical knowledge, others are unable to find the right jobs even after completing engineering. Animation is a passionate area to study and those without self-generated interest on the subject will never be able to come up in the field.
