Well, it's really tough to predict the marks needed to get under 10k rank in VITEEE examination because marks is not being shown up by the university, however as per the past experiences if you correct more than 70 questions then your rank will be under 10K.
All the best.

VITEEE Cut off 2018
1. The first 20,000 rank holders will be called for Phase-1 of counselling starting from May 2018. VIT University uses equating methodology for calculating candidates marks.
2. Candidates who score 118 and above marks will expectantly fall between 1-250 rank range.
3. Candidates with less than 31 marks will have an expected rank of 20,000 or below.

The admission is based on the ranks In VITEEE. With a score of 40 and above, your rank may not be that good. So your chances of admission will be lower. You may get admission by paying more fees. Or, you can try for other colleges via entrance exams or board exam marks.

Biotech
Bio-info (because there is a tag as CSE with specialisation in Bio-info)
Bio-med
My personal advice to you will be not to go for bio-medical. Although it's a great field to study, but there is isn't much you can do after B.Tech in bio-medical. So many of my friends despite having two digit rank in GATE are going for IT company jobs. Because they feel like there is no future in INDIA for a student graduating from Biomed or biotech.
Hope it helped.

2. Percentile is based on how you score in each subject compared to nearby others.
3. VIT does not disclose marks in each subject.
4. Minimum 10-15 questions in exam are from previous year JEE Main paper. So make sure you can solve previous year JEE Main questions. I think this information will help you for VIT entrance exam.
Thank you.
