Heartiest congratulations for getting such a lovely & excellent rank. But if I may ask, why are you even thinking of admission in any NIT or IIIT? Aim high. Dream high. You must register for JEE Advanced. I am sure you will be able to clear it with equally good rank. Best wishes to your beautiful dreams of admission in IIT.

You can get admission in VIT campus, you can get in any of the departments except CSE, Mech, ECE, IT. And with your AIR score, it is not possible to get admission in any of the NITs, so it's better to go with VIT.

As you have secured 44999 rank in VITEEE and 172018 in JEE Mains exam, it totally depends on your interest that in which college you are more comfortable. If you do not have any financial problems, then you can reserve a seat in VIT. Otherwise, you can go for some good private colleges through JEE Mains score.

Students who got more than 1, 00,000 rank are not eligible to get admission in any of the campus in B.Tech programmes. If you still wish you join VIT, you can get admission in other UG courses.

There is no UG which is offered by VIT called CSE specialization in Data Science. There is only CSE specialization in Data Analytics.

And to get seat in CSE try contacting Management as you might get Category 5 seat in CSE branch.

To be frank, your rank is not good but still you have chances to study in VIT Vellore with your desired branch.

It depends on your rank. If your rank is under 35k, you have a chance to get a seat but the fees would be quite higher (around 6 LPA).

It's difficult getting a seat at your rank. Even if you get a seat, it will cost you around 4-5 LPA excluding hostel fee.
