DTU - Delhi Technological University Answered Questions

Hi Harinder, DTU is a very premium college so all the branches are very good atleast better than most of the colleges. But in terms of placements, CS,IT,Software, EC have very high standards. So if you get any of these branches then you will be able to get very good placement. But DTU is very famous for its Mechanical which doesn't earn a very good package but the course is very famous.PLEASE UPVOTE THE ANSWER TO ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE ANSWERING QUESTIONS OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU.

Hi Dipjyoti, I am not exactly aware about the WB board. But I expect you will be getting something around 30000 rank in JEE MAINS. So almost certainly you will get CS in DTU. The cutoff for your category goes something around 40000 for CS in DTU. So all the best for counseling and I am very much sure you will get DTU with computer science.

Hi Gaurab, you have not mentioned if you have any reservation.
Therefore.I will be answering it in general sense. If you are from general category. Then you will have to try some other college. If from OBC then you might just get into DTU but the branch wouldn't be that good. But if you are from SC or.ST category then you will get what is called a mid range branch in DTU like civil engineering Etc.

Both the institutes mentioned by you are equally good and thus it will be very difficult to tell which one will be the best option. However, we can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute. You can consider the below parameters :
1) Faculty,
2) Affiliation / Recognition
3) Course Material,
4) Quality Education,
5) Fees
6) Infrastructure
7) Success Rate.
8) Placement
9) Top recruiting companies.
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute.

Hi Ayush as you are from delhi you will get some or the other branch but I don't think you will get EC because the closing rank for EC is quite high and it is the same for both the colleges. Actually both the colleges have almost same cutoff. Therefore whatever yiu get here you will get the same thing in NSIT.
I think you will get something like EE or ME in both the colleges.
