Why I chose DTU over other JAC colleges.

Placements: From what I have seen, around seniors and me, placements in my branch (CSE) are actually pretty strong with a good median package of 18 LPA. Almost everyone who is serious about placements ends up getting placed, so it is roughly 90-95%. The highest package offered is currently around 90 LPA, but those are rare. For most students, the average package offered ranges from 15-22 LPA. Companies like Google, BlackRock, Microsoft, Meesho, Amazon, Uber, and Goldman Sachs visit the college regularly, wh...

DTU good or bad - reality.

Placements: Till January, around 45 percent of students are placed. Now the mass recruiter has come, who has taken most of the students, so now the average package will go down, and normal will increase. So we can say till today the average is 16 LPA to 17 LPA, and it will decrease to 12 LPA to 13 LPA till the end of the session.

It has strong placements, a competitive environment, decent infrastructure, and average academics.

Placements: Around 85-90 percent of students got placed in the last passing ECE batch. The highest domestic package offered is 60 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 14-15 LPA. Major recruiters are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, Nvidia, etc. Around 75-80 percent of students secured internships in similar firms. Roles like software developer, data analyst, embedded systems engineer, VLSI design engineer, etc., are offered here.

A perfect campus and career college.

Placements: Placements depended on the placement coordinator and how he approached the companies for the package and placement. Alumni were present in almost every company, which could be beneficial. The company came to college and came for multiple seats, so it's overall good.

In short, if you want to enjoy your campus life while learning new skills.

Placements: Nearly 60-70% of students get placed with an average package of 15-16 LPA. It's surely comparable with top-tier NITs. But the competition is very high to get a job, as there are more than 2500 students graduating each year with the dream of getting a job. In mechanical, the highest package goes around 30-35 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA. Maruti and other big companies visit the campus for placement, along with many non-tech opportunities in top non-tech firms. Getting an internship is re...

Great college for exploring yourself.

Placements: I am in the Software Engineering department, so as of now, in the SE branch, most get placed, and the average package is very good. The average package is around 20 LPA, and the highest is around 80 LPA. Good college, good placement. Mainly, all the top companies come for recruitment in our college.

COE at Thapar has pretty good placement opportunities, especially if you're interested in software and tech roles. Personally, I'd pick COE at Thapar over Civil at DTU if your goal is placements and a career in tech. Branch usually matters more in this comparison.

There isn't really one "must-have" book for LEET that everyone follows. Most students I know used a mix of diploma-level textbooks, previous year papers and aptitude practice books.

A friend preparing for LEET focused more on solving past papers than collecting lots of books, and he felt that helped
