A few great sources for developing quantitative aptitude include R. S. Aggarwal's book "Quantitative Aptitude", Abhijit Guha's Book "Quantitative Aptitude for Engineering Entrance" and NCERT Mathematics books for Classes 11 & 12 to provide you with basic mathematics concepts.

 

To build your verbal skills, Norman Lewis's "Word Power Made Easy", Wren and Martin's "High School English Grammar and Composition" and materials that help develop reading skills i.e. reading comprehension practice.

No, NMIMS University does not accept IPMAT scores. The university accepts entrance exams such as NMIMS CET, JEE Main, UCEED, NPAT, and others.  Students must register online through the official website. Students need to choose the entrance exam as per the course.

Yes, even if the students are from the commerce stream without maths, they can still prepare for the IPMAT exam without coaching. The formal coaching has its own perks, but students can also fetch good marks with IPMAT self-preparation. IPMAT exam preparation without coaching may require the students to put in extra effort but it is possible. 

Students can refer to NCERT mathematics books from Class 9 to Class 12 for starters. The important topics would include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, etc.

Students should not begin preparing for new topics in the last few days of the IPMAT exam. This will only cram their mind and they may falter. However, they must revise the key topics of the IPMAT syllabus.  Students should also take ample mokc tests and solve previous years' question papers to know the key topics. They must focus on topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry. For the VA section, students should strengthen their vocabulary with the help of newspapers and editorials and practice grammar exercises.

IPMAT Rohtak registration 2026 will begin in the first week of February 2026. The application process usually goes on for approximately two months. Yes, students who are in Class 12 or are awaiting their Class 12 board results can certainly apply for the IPMAT Indore exam. The basic eligibility criteria for appearing for the IPMAT 2026 exam is as follows:

  • The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories.

  • The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or in 2026.
