A few great sources for developing quantitative aptitude include R. S. Aggarwal's book "Quantitative Aptitude", Abhijit Guha's Book "Quantitative Aptitude for Engineering Entrance" and NCERT Mathematics books for Classes 11 & 12 to provide you with basic mathematics concepts.

To build your verbal skills, Norman Lewis's "Word Power Made Easy", Wren and Martin's "High School English Grammar and Composition" and materials that help develop reading skills i.e. reading comprehension practice.

Lastly, you should also review previous year's tests and practice taking the exams as a way to develop both speed and accuracy in taking these types of tests as well as acquiring the quantitative and verbal skills necessary for success on these types of tests.

Yes, even if the students are from the commerce stream without maths, they can still prepare for the IPMAT exam without coaching. The formal coaching has its own perks, but students can also fetch good marks with IPMAT self-preparation. IPMAT exam preparation without coaching may require the students to put in extra effort but it is possible. 

Students can refer to NCERT mathematics books from Class 9 to Class 12 for starters. The important topics would include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, etc. 

For the VA section preparation, students can begin their preparation by reading newspapers and editorials every day. The important topics include grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, etymology and roots, etc. Students can also refer to online resources such as Youtube lecture, online study groups, education wesbite, etc. to prepare for the IPMAT exam without coaching. 

Students should not begin preparing for new topics in the last few days of the IPMAT exam. This will only cram their mind and they may falter. However, they must revise the key topics of the IPMAT syllabus.  Students should also take ample mokc tests and solve previous years' question papers to know the key topics. They must focus on topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry. For the VA section, students should strengthen their vocabulary with the help of newspapers and editorials and practice grammar exercises. 

Students should not forget to revise important formulas, theorems, and concepts for mathematics, and practice solving problems related to these topics.

IPMAT Rohtak registration 2026 will begin in the first week of February 2026. The application process usually goes on for approximately two months. Candidates will be able to fill the IPM Aptitude Test application form online. The IPM Rohtak application form will be available on the official website of IIM Rohtak till April 2026 (expected).

The IPM registration process usually begins with IPM AT form filling. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT Rohtak application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose their preferred test centres while filling the IIM Rohtak IPMAT application form. If the candidates match the cutoff criteria after the IPMAT Rohtak results are declared, then they can appear for the further rounds of the IIM Rohtak selection process. 

IIM Rohtak will announce the IPMAT Rohtak date 2026 and schedule online. The IPMAT 2026 exam will likely be conducted in the first week of May 2026. The registrations for IIM Rohtak IPMAT 2026 will likely begin in the first week of February 2026. The registration window will likely be open for approximately three months and will close in the month of April 2026.

The IPM Aptitude Test 2026 admission process is completely online and the schedule will also be announced online on the official website. The IPMAT 2026 exam will be conducted in one shift only (morning shift) like every year. The schedule, along with the exam timings and duration, will be announced soon by IIM Rohtak in a detailed notification for the IPMAT exam.

Yes, students who are in Class 12 or are awaiting their Class 12 board results can certainly apply for the IPMAT Indore exam. The basic eligibility criteria for appearing for the IPMAT 2026 exam is as follows:

• The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories.

• The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or in 2026.

• Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026.

• The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) categories.

• Applicants in Class 12 or awaiting the results are also eligible to apply provisionally.
