<p>With a score of 35% in CMAT it may be tough to be getting a good college in CAP round however, in my opinion, you can get good institutes who have lower cutoffs and good faculty and placement opportunities, like Welingkar, MET Mumbai, IPE Hyderabad. Target institutes which might interest you and come within your career interest. Also keep in mind potential cut offs, and apply strategically where you believe you will have a good response to maximize your chances of getting a call for GD and PI. In addition, participate in networking and internship opportunities, as these will drive your career in that direction. Choose a college wh... View more

Great Lakes - Chennai does not have management quota seats and admission is strictly offered on merit basis. It will be very difficult to get a call for WAT/ PI with 85percentile in CMAT. You will need more than 95 percentile in CMAT to get a call.

With CMAT, you compete for All India Seats which are very few. You need 90+ percentile but this changes every year. To be on a safer side, target 95+ percentile.

Hello manju,
As such there are no government management institutes, except for IIMs, and they too are autonomous institutes, which offer PGDM. Yes, there are a lot of government universities which offer MBA program but according to me you should do MBA from a good institute like any autonomous institute or any good private university such as Christ University. For that you can give any of the exams among the two, you can get better college options if you give CMAT.
I hope this was useful to you.
