1. Start reading newspapers to increase your verbal ability.
2. Revise all important functions and concepts before solving CAT-level questions.
3. (If you can afford it) Try to enroll in a good institution/test series.
4. Give one mock test per week.

As you have not mentioned your category, I will assume it to be general and answer. You need to score 95+ percentile in CAT. Although, it is not fixed that you'll get admission in IIMS. It all depends on your CV/resume, how you perform in your interview. All the Best.

Start by using a diagnostic test to determine your strengths and weaknesses. This will help you concentrate on areas that want improvement. Make sure you are at ease with important subjects like arithmetic, algebra, reading comprehension, and language by grasping the fundamentals of math and verbal think... View more

Hello,
In CAT exam, there is Sectional cutoff for all the three sections which is around 70 percentile for OPEN Category and around 60 for others along with a overall cut-off of 80 percentile.
For top three Iims, you would get call for more than 99.5 percentile only, if you are general engineer male and if you are not from engineering background you can expect a call at 98+. So, its very challenging and your overall percentile will determine the chances of getting a call with minimum sectional cut-off 70 in all three sections is mandatory to get call from IIMs. Hope it clears your doubt.
All the Best.
