From this year onwards, NTA the agency conducting the exam of JEE Mains, will be declaring results in percentile form and the AIR will be given only after second set of exam results are announced in April or May. Till then nobody can predict how things will move. Roughly about 3lakh students will be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced the exam which will determine the admission to IIT. Hence, patience till then. <p>Since you have a preparatory SC rank of 3900 in JEE Advanced 2024, you can possibly get admission in the IITs' preparatory course. The preparatory course is usually available for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/PwD) who do not have the cutoff for regular admission but have potential. The preparatory course cut-off rank will differ based on the number of seats available and the overall merit of candidates.</p>
If you have chance, my personal opinion is prepare again if your economic condition supports, because if you don't take risk, you will not get something big. Now, if you take admission in VIT, you have to pay fee for 4 year now. If you prepare from a coaching, you will pay for 1 year and after that if your family income is less than INR. 1 lac, you don't have to pay fees in NITs or IITs. So, better to give yourself a chance.
