Hello Mohammed Mudassir, admissions in IIT's are based on performance in JEE Advanced. But one can appear for JEE Advanced only if the ranking is good in JEE Mains. Thus we can safely say that for getting admission in IIT, one must score well in JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced. Best wishes to you.

Better to join a good coaching institute as they guides your preparation in a proper way. You can also go for self study, but it needs more dedication and strictly following to the schedule. Coaching will also provide you weekly tests which will ask you to work hard to keep up the performance. IIT needs strong base of basic concepts. Questions are based on basic concepts with varied applications. Variety of problems will help you in making your concepts concrete. Just keep practicing and try to give more and more tests. Good luck!
The answer for your question is unbounded , though I will tell you some key points .
First of all there are very less student who appear for both and get a notable rank . My advice to you is that you choose any one of them (IIT or AIIMS) as they both differs by a bridge of biology subject.
Just get regular to your study with the thinking that there is no shortcut to success . Never keep any doubt in your mind just clear it by asking to the concern teacher . Appear for mock test and try not to do much negative marking .

Hello Sonu,
These days admissions are strictly done on the basis of other entrance exams. Without this evil, there is normally no admission in engineering colleges. Depending on your rank, you will get the college. The best colleges are NITs.
You have to clear JEE Mains exam with approximately 250 marks or above and then face Advanced exam. You should have AIR less than 500 in JEE Mains and less than or between 600-700 in JEE Advanced to get admission in IITs. You should have above 90% marks in 12th standard.
In IIT, around 13 to 15 thousand seats are available.
The candidates having preparatory ranks in JEE Advanced will not be able to participate in JOSSA counselling. So, you will not get any seat in IIT during the JOSSA counselling in present year. However, you will trained in IITs for one year and after successfully completion of training you will get vacant seats in IITs in next year.
Hi, you can try solving previous year's question papers for JEE Mains and JEE Advance to check your level of preparation. If you are scoring more than 50% in exam-like conditions in these papers, you can keep your preparation up for IIT. Otherwise, you should go for the MH-CET. The MH-CET is comparably less difficult than JEE and can get you into good government engineering colleges in Maharashtra. You can go for JEE in the second phase, which will be held on April 20, 2023. Solving questions from previous years will not only give you an idea of the types of questions asked but also of your level of preparation. Also, you must be confiden... View more
