<div><div>IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des program will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.</div></div>
Sorry to say but its a no as IIT strictly says at least 75% in all subject mean above 75% or 75% not less than it and as you said you are from CBSE, then you won't came in top 20 percentile because top 20 percentile of CBSE is above 85%. So, you try in any other college.
All the best.
1stly pass your 12th then you are eligible.
There is no lateral entry scheme in NITs and IITs after Diploma engineering.
Your NCERT books are the best options for any preparation. It contains all the important topics, clear concepts and questions, exercises, etc. So, study that thoroughly and you may not need anything else.
There are many institutes who offer Chemistry in post graduation but I will advice you to go for Honours because of the additional/innovative subjects and the tag value of honours.
LPU offers M.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry with eligibility as 55% (Bachelor's degree with chemistry).
The course is designed for the research aspirants and provoking " doing by yourself" approach. The learner has to do a unique three term dissertation along with the core curricula.

Go for the branch in which you are interested. Both the colleges are good. But if asked particularly then go for IIT, Indore because rankings of IITs are good than NITs.
That is one of the problems of Government College in India but don’t worry try to contact ex-student of that college or do some online research.
Hello,
Yes, you are eligible for the IIT JAM exam.
No, you are not eligible, IIT JEE can only be given by those who had completed their 12th with a mathematics subject as a background in their 12th. So you cannot sit for IIT JEE.
The entrance exam is based on your +2 syllabus and little bit extends from the syllabus. They ask the basic questions from maths, physics, English etc. No need to prepare specially for this, just recall the +2, +1 subjects.
Minimum marks vary every year like below:
2018 -approximately 375
2017- 366
2016- 372
2015 - 504
2014 - 360
So, it is difficult to predict marks as exam pattern and marks change every year but you should score more than 50% marks to get good branch in Top IITs.
According, to 2018cut off you must have secure more than 155 marks to get into IITs.
You have a decent academics. For SC category, you should target at least 85 percentile. Above 90%ile will get you an interview call. Co-curricular and extra-curricular matters as well. The complete score is calculated and the interview call letters are sent. This is completely based on the higher management's discretion. So, give your best and all the best for future endeavours.
Listen only dropping is good for those students who missed IIT or NIT with few marks if you missed IIT or NIT in the same way then you drop for if you not crossed the general cutoff then don't drop it's a mistake trust me I had seen many these cases. you better go for B.Sc or BCA which is better option then to drop. instead of dropping you should prepare for UPSC or SSC exam.
All The Best
Dear student,
First, make up your mind that you need coaching. Secondly, if you are comfortable with online lecture Amit Tyagi IIT maths (YouTube) will help you lot although it's free of cost.
His teaching method is good, covers all the topics, cleas all the fundamentals of mathematics.
Hello Anjali Suman,
It's nice to hear from you that you are interested in taking a year off for the preparation of JEE Mains. Yes, it's a good idea. I would like to advise you that join a coaching institute. One learns many things from our fellow students besides knowing different ways of studying the same subject. In addition, classes will invariably organise mock tests which are very useful ingredients in a successful attempt at JEE Mains.
Best wishes to you.
75% aggregate for general and 65% aggregate for SC, ST, pwd category is required. ,
Please follow Arihant. This book is named as RD Sharma objective for IIT-JEE mathematics.
I'll suggest you to opt for FIITJEE as this coaching institute has good faculty and also has the easiest way to teach students the most difficult questions.
It is possible to pursue it after B.Tech, but I don't think it would be reasonable. Unless you are developing AI or something, otherwise it won't help very much. For IIT, you will have to pass JAM.

Depends on what NIT you have a chance of getting in. If there's any possibility that you'd be getting a branch of your choice in NITT, NITK, NITW, NITC or VNIT, then you can go ahead with that. Otherwise, I'd suggest you to go for Long term coaching and try the best you can to get into one of the older IITs. All the best :)
You can go for LD College of Engineering, Nirma University.
No, jee mains is only about clearing cut-off and eligible to write jee advance and better marks in mains secures a seat in nit NOTHING to do with jee advance marks.
Advance is only for iit, mains marks not seen for admission in iit. IN JUNE all india rank for jee mains given to students who have cleared the cut off for mains and separate AIR for JEE advance will be given to students who cleared the cut off for advance. last year cut-off for mains(gen.-105, obc-70) and advance(gen-124, obc-112).
