<p>Yes, it is 100% possible to get into IIT Jammu for BTech with a JEE Advanced rank equal to or less than 12000. However, the same is not possible across all specialisations. General category students of All India Category can get into BTech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical and Materials Engineering branch if we go by the closing ranks of 2023. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. Biotechnology and M.Sc+Ph.D dual degree in Biotechnology, candidates must have passed mathematics at the (10+2) level. Bachelor's degree with Chemistry for three years or six semesters and Mathematics at the (10+2) level. Bachelor's degree with Mathematics for at least two years or four semesters.

You have to check the required percentage for IIT for up board .If you percentage are above the required percentage you will be eligible but if not there only one way that you again have to give 12th exam.

Getting admission in NITs require general rank below 30000. It would be safe if you get that. You may get NITs till 40000 somehow. So coming for EWS quota there will be 10% increment in seats.

Eligibility for M.Sc in chemistry is under graduation in B.Sc with chemistry as one of the subjects, and maths as one of the subjects at 10+2 level. The minimum cut-off at undergrad level is 55% for general category and 50% for the reserved category. Candidates would become eligible for admission in the IITs after clearing the IIT JAM.
