IIT's have decided not only to stop stipend but also to enhance the fees paid by students for M.Tech to a much higher figure then presently paid but at the same level that any undergraduate student pays at IIT. The ostensible reason for this step is perhaps the findings of the committee appointed by iit's to study the situation of students leaving the courses midway without completing the same.&nbsp;<br>Best wishes to you.</p>

Maths is one of the easiest parts in JEE Mains after Chemistry.
You just need to memorize formulas and shortcut trick.
Follow only one book. (NCERT is not good for IITJEE).
Tata Mc Graw Hill for JEE Mains is one of the best books. It is also enough for JEE Advanced. It has a lot of questions with solutions. Solve it completely.
And in last 4 months, buy Arihant 38 years for Maths.
You can easily score 100+ marks if you follow my tips.

90.5percentile is quite good score you can score much better in second attempt so don't focus on which college you will get. But IIT takes admission only through JEE Advanced. And as you are from general category you will rarely get any NIT also you can get some of IIIT and GFTI.

There are about 12K seats in all IITs put together. Out of these, only 50% are available for general candidates. Your son's rank is 10K. So you can imagine where he stands.

Your score in JEE mains is a not enough to get CSE in good NITs like Trichy, Surathkal, etc.
But you may get it in some normal NITs but please verify their rankings and reviews.
In SRM your score is good to get the main campus. You can also get CSE at SRM main campus.
Your rank will be around 18000 so you refer the rank predictors to know about the list of courses that you can avail.

I don’t think IITs offer biotechnology but you can check Shiksha’s website and use filters to see it if gives such course.

You can apply for JEE Advance AAT paper. And, the application process might start from second week of June. Coming to the date of exam, it might be in Third week on June as there is no official news.

You can do so if you have above 65% in you 12th with science and mathematics, helps if you had a computer science subject but not compulsory and an IELTS score of overall 6.5 with no band less than 6.
The fee structure is semester wise, however you will need to show one year’s fees and 2 years living costs which will be roughly around 65,000/- to 70,000/- AUD in your or your parents bank accounts for 6 months balance before applying for the visa. The fee on an average will be 25 to 35 thousand AUD per year depending on the university.

The above are the top ranking colleges for engineering. If you don't get them, then you can go for VIT, SRM, Manipal, Amrita University, Thapar University, Anna University and Sastra University. These are few other good colleges for engineering.

Once the documents are uploaded, and the final application is submitted it can't be changed.

In aeronautical engineering, study revolves around aviation where theories are limited to air but astronautics comprises of space study. Both are better according to my perception. Sectors for jobs are Boeing, Taneja, TAAL, BHEL, Mahindra, ISRO, DRDO, etc.

Generally the cutoff didn't fluctuate and from 3-4 years it wasn't changing .
But no one can say about the gate cutoff for 2018. It will be same or will differ with 1-2 marks.
Most probably it will stay as same .
For choosing any course from particular IIT please ensure that IIT offers the course or not.

You cannot get seats in IIT on the basis of Jee Mains rank. You have to clear JEE Advanced to get IIT. Seats in NITs are given on the basis of JEE Mains score, but your rank is very low, your chances are less of getting NITs, but you can get colleges of your state. Every IIT has it's own cutoff for admission in different branches.
So, I suggest you to score more as much as you can.
Do hard work and try to solve the paper correctly and less mistakes.
Just check the cut- off for the IIT
You can see the cut-off that is so high
Just concentrate on your studies and focus.

Well, there seems to be a slight miss-match with the general trend of ratio between OBC Rank 1338 to General Rank 48k but According to your data if the OBC Rank 1338 You can get top branches like CSE, ECE, EEE in top 7 NITs like VNIT, NITC, NITW, NITRKL, NITK or MNIT which is a very good thing!
