Yes, it is. For admission to M.Sc, you have to first clear the IIT JAM exam. JAM exam is conducted for admission in IITs, NITs, or IISc to pursue M.Sc (four semesters).
JAM Exam will be conducted on February 10, 2019. So, you still have time left. Start you JAM preparation now.

The school studies are important as that are the basics of the course but you can't crack JEE Advanced with its help. You should prepare for IIT to crack that.

If you've successfully cleared the test with good score, there won't be any worries in GD PI they'll ask you about recent trends of tourism field. And just come prepare with basic idea of map knowledge where the country comes and their capitals with major attractions of their country for example - USA, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Still Lanka, South Africa, Egypt, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Spain or Germany just have a look at these countries capitals as well as their attractions and have some basic knowledge of GK. IITs have global recognition so you can go for it, but if the foreign university concerned is MIT, Caltech, etc., then go for this choice. You have to compare them likewise. It depends on which university abroad you have gotten through because as mentioned IITians are allowed everywhere.

Hi, well it used to be a PGDM course but for past few years it is converted to a full-time 2 years Masters in Tourism & Travel. Talking about the merits I would say its more about the interest one has in tourism and its related fields. BSc ( of 3 years duration) graduates are not eligible to appear for GATE to seek admission in MTech. BSc graduates are eligible to appear for JAM (Joint Admission Test for MSc) to seek admission in IITs.

Yes, see, as per your interests on both the fields have tremendous opportunities in future. MBA in travel tourism is the future Settled seeker factor. And, Diploma in aviation is also good. But pay scale will be less in MBA travel but after 2 years of experience, you'll be paid more. And, one more thing, if you do MBA in travel, you'll get an opportunity to enter aviation industry and also many other jobs will be open but if you go for aviation, you can enter only in one field that is aviation only. So, think twice and make your decision.

Prefer B.Tech from any government institution, since now the diploma courses are not as effective as they were earlier. If you are able to complete your graduation from a government college, then your chances of getting a job will be increased and you won't have to worry about it. Many students get salary in between 15k to 25k. I would recommend you to pursue course from Thomas Cook or Kesary Academy. They are very good. Investing two years around 5 lacks of Rupees. Will NIT give you better ROI. Better to invest half of it and half the same kind of job profile. Even, you may save few months. If you have a good budget, then purse Tourism Course from abroad.

Both are hard to achieve. For IIT (preferably top IITs) requires you to score 'good' marks in GATE with good number of work experience. And still you may find yourself suffering because of lesser number of seats and reservations. And for abroad, you need; #1) Lots of funds (if you didn't get the scholarships), hectic regulatory requirements, good number of work experience, exceptional academics and global competition. So, identify your potential and then go ahead. I would advise you to apply on both (I. e. , IITs and abroad). And where ever you get the chance, just grab it.
