The cut-off for general category is 80 percentile, NC-OBC is 75 percentile and SC/ST is 70 percentile. You can also apply with your CAT score.

It depends on what is your aim. If you want to apply for MBA abroad or ISB-Hyderabad then GMAT is mandatory and ISB, as well as institutes abroad, accept an only candidate with some work experience for ISB it goes to around 3 years experience and good colleges abroad around 6 years. Accordingly, you should decide.

The opening of the admission portal for CMAT 2023 score-based admissions would depend on the individual institutes that accept CMAT scores for their management programs. Generally, the admission portals open after the declaration of CMAT results and after the respective institutes release their admission notifications. <p>CMAT is one of the accepting exams for admission to PGDM. In 2024, the overall CMAT cutoff was 85. This was same in 2023 as well. However, it is not compulsory to have a CMAT score for admission. Aspirants with a valid score in CAT, MAT, ATMA, etc. can also get admission in the PGDM programme.</p>

Your score is very low as per this year’s result. Top colleges require more than the marks. You will need some extra marks for the selection to the desired college in desired course. The eligibility criteria for shortlisting candidate for top private colleges is above 90+ percentile for CMAT exams. Usually, GMAT is "easier" than CAT w.r.t. the no. of concepts tested. GMAT tests a finite no. of concepts but it's tricky w.r.t. to the standard/level of questions that are asked.
Quant is more difficult in CAT than in GMAT. Verbal is more difficult in GMAT than in CAT.
So, as per your individual strengths and weaknesses across different sections, you may find one of the tests easier than the other.
Besides, GMAC (the organisation conducting GMAT) gives away 2 full-length GMAT tests free. So, you can take one of these tests to figure out where you stand.

Hi,
Try giving the mah-CET exam which is coming up, as you can aim for higher then. with 80 percentile you can make it to many colleges in mumbai for PGDM course namely, Chetana, IES, Welingkar, MET, etc. With this, you need to do good in their gd/pi rounds. If you want in MS, give their CET exams and aim higher.
