When you apply for admission in any university with your DET score, the admission committee needs no verification. As Duolingo itself share the scorecard of your test directly to the university through its secure portal. This is to ensure authenticity and prevent tampering.

No, Duolingo does not announce a public list of speaking topics. However, candidates can prepare by practicing with commonly encountered themes such as food, family, studies, work, and entertainment. You need to focus on improving speaking skills. This will help you in every topic you want to speak.

Yes, one question type has been removed, and another has been replaced after the new change in the Duolingo English Test. The Read Aloud question type is being removed from the test to maintain the current test length. To maintain the test duration, updated Interactive Speaking will replace the Listen, Then Speak question type.

No, there is nothing changing in the "Listen and Respond" question type. You will still be able to play the audio from characters only once for each individual response.

However, a key update to the overall Interactive Listening section (effective July 1, 2025) is that the initial scenario for the conversation will now be presented in audio format instead of text.

There is no limit on this. You can replay the scenario audio unlimited times in the Interactive Listening section. This applies both during the initial "Listen and Complete" part and the subsequent "Listen and Respond" questions. You'll find the replay option at the top of the page.
