2. Duolingo is going to use AI for DET test to provide a fast, high-quality, and secure language assessment to anyone.

The difficulty level of DET for any student depends on the fluency and knowledge of English language. The adaptive format of Duolingo English Test increases or decreases the difficulty level of exam based on your answer for previous question. According to DET test pattern, the duration is 1 hour which is divided in three different sections like mentioned below:

• Introduction - 5 minutes (You'll be introduced to the test interface and instructions.)
• Adaptive test - 45 minutes (The main section of test)
• Writing and speaking sample - 10 minutes (You'll get different prompts to write and read)

There is no any specific syllabus for Duolingo English Exam. It is an adaptive test. DET assesses your listening, writing, speaking and reading skills. How much time will it take to prepare for exam depends on your current English proficiency level. To prepare from beginning you need at least 2 months.

No, to take the Duolingo English Test, you must have a desktop or laptop computer with Windows 7 or greater, or macOS 10.13 or greater. the DET test will not work on a Chromebook, iPad, tablet or any other device. Also, operating systems like ChromeOS or Linux are not suitable for DET test.

Yes, it is mandatory to have a valid passport for appearing in the Duolingo English Test. It is the only and most important document to verify the test taker's identity.  Make sure your passport validity should be more than 6 months. During the test setup, you must submit a photo of your passport
