Yes, Anna University does offer MSc programmes for the duration of 2 years, divided into 4 semesters. Further, the university & its affiliated college offer MSc courses for full-time & distance modes of learning. For admission to MSc courses AU Chennai conducts its entrance test, followed by a counselling process. Additionally, for distance learning mode, there is no requirement for entrance examination.

Anna University offers BE/BTech courses via its affiliated colleges on the basis of JEE Main ranks, followed by TNEA counselling for admission. For AI & Data Science, the TNEA last round cutoff ranks varied between 2504 and 145989, wherein the most competitive cutoff rank was for Sri Sairam Engineering College for admission to the AI & Data Science course. According to the information gathered from the official website of the Anna University, the classes are usually scheduled between 08:30 AM to 04:45 PM with a lunch break from 12:15 PM to 01:10 PM. Additional;y, classes shall be scheduled in the morning and evening hours at the convenience of the course Instructor. The regular classes are scheduled in a five-day week, from Monday to Friday. However, the instructors may schedule some additional classes/ exams/ activities at the weekends too.

Both SASTRA University and Anna University are premium institutes, yet they vary vastly in characters.

SASTRA University is a deemed university where the quality infrastructure, faculties, and record of placement are superior to other deemed universities. The colleges of Anna University, Coimbatore, include many affiliated colleges for doing the M.E. The famous colleges for M.E are: PSG College of Technology; Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT); Sri Eshwar College of Engineering; Karpagam College of Engineering; Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology; SNS College of Technology; RVS College of Engineering and Technology.
