Andhra University BSc courses are offered across two affiliated colleges. The total seat number of seats available for the BCom programme at Anna University is 480. Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University accepts TNEA scores for admission to the BTech courses. Madras Institute of Technology Cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 3 for admission to BTech courses. Yes. Veltech High Tech was initially affiliated with the University of Madras. In 2001, the affiliation was shifted to Anna University. From 2008 onwards, it was recognized as a deemed-to-be university. However, Veltech High Tech is still affiliated with Anna University.

A minimum of 50% in 10+2 is required for admission to Anna University's BE programme, in addition to taking the TNEA. Graduates in BE typically earn between 4.5 and 5.5 LPA, with the potential to reach 8 LPA. Candidates should be selected on the basis of the score obtained in TANCET. Candidates who had qualified CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, GMAT, GATE, GRE, CMAT exams will be exempted from the entrance exam. After the exam, qualified candidates can apply for the MBA program.Admission to the Anna university Chennai MBA course is based on Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The highest package offered during Anna University placements 2022 stood at INR 36.50 LPA whereas the highest package offered during VIT Chennai placements 2023 was INR 59 LPA. Moreover, when compared according to the BTech fees, VIT Chennai BTech fees range between INR 4.87 Lacs - INR 7.8 Lacs whereas the Anna University BTech fees range between INR 17.82 K - INR 13 lakh. Further, VIT Chennai is re-accredited by NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade whereas Anna University is accredited with an "A" Grade by the NAAC.

The minimum eligibility criteria for the undergarduate courses at Anna University is a passing grade of at least 45% (40% for ST/SC students) in class 12. However, to apply to UG degrees at Anna University like BE and B.Tech class 12 marks are not enough. Candidates must appear for the JEE Main exam and the qualified candidates must appear for the TNEA counselling. The University will take the class 12 grades into account for TNEA counselling.

Yes, Anna University do offer BTech programs across various specializations. In fact, it also offers BE programs alongside BTech. The University provides a wide range of BTech specializations. The exact number can vary slightly year to year, but it's typically more than 10 specializations.

 Compared to BTech programs, Anna University offers an even larger number of BE specializations, usually exceeding 15. However, Both BTech and BE are undergraduate engineering programs, and the core curriculum might have some overlap.
