The application forms were issued in the month of May. It was an online registration process. The last date for registration was May 31st and the last date for submission was on June 3rd.
As the applications are closed right now, you may try for other colleges if you haven't given for counselling.

You need to apply for single window counselling under Anna University. With this cut off scores, as a general category student, it is really difficult to get a seat in Anna University and SSN College of Engineering, Kalavakkam.
For last year cut off marks refer: www.cutoff.tnea.ac.in

Both VIT and Anna University are reputed institutions in India. So it is better to study in any of these institutions.
The only thing is the fee structure as VIT is a private university, the fees is quite huge.

For the previous year cut off marks (for the year 2016) you may refer the link below:
www.cutoff.tnea.ac.in
In this link, you need to use an advanced search means you need to select the name of the college, district and caste for knowing the cut off.

The admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges also depends on the caste. So if you mention your caste then I may help you with more details.
As per this cut off marks if you belong to SC / ST then you may get a seat in MIT or SSN.

There are no management quota seats for the government colleges that come under Anna University. But the colleges that are under private ownership like SSN College of Engineering have management quota seats.
