Hello,
After completing class 12th, you need to appear for various entrance examinations. I would suggest you to appear for JEE Mains and Advanced. These two entrance examinations provide admissions to IITs/ NITs and other government colleges, which are cost-effective.
I would also suggest you to appear for individual state examinations (OJEE in Odisha, EAMCET in Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, COMEDK in Karnataka, etc.). These exams also guarantee you good colleges and serve as a backup in case things don't end up the way you've planned for IIT/ AIEEE.

Hello Aman,
Yes, Anna University allows Diploma holders to have a lateral entry in the 2nd year of engineering course. Normally when lateral entry is granted then graduation is allowed in similar branch only. Details you can find on the website of Anna University.

Yes, you can. If you have taken subject in 11th of PCME and other subjects are also okay but if you have taken PCME, you will have more knowledge.

Automobile engineering is a super-specialisation under Mechanical engineering. In majority of engineering colleges Automobile engineering is offered by Mechanical engineering department. Very few engineering colleges have exclusive Automobile engineering department. Mechanical engineers are required by all type of industries. Mechanical engineers can also get job in Automobile engineering. Whereas, B.Tech Automobile engineers are employed in automobile and its ancillary industries only. If you get above 60% in pcm in +2 and crack jEE Mains or state joint with moderately good score, you can pursue B.Tech in automobile engineering from a good Institute.
