Automobile Engineering concerns itself with design, development and production of automobiles i.e. cars, motorcycles, buses, etc. It deals specifically with problems related to Vehicle Engineering Subjects like Internal Combustion Engines, Vehicle Dynamics, Ergonomics, Safety,etc are studied primarily.Thus we can say that Automobile engineering is a subset of Mechanical Engineering.

You may pursue job if you like to or go for m
tech or m.e in automotive engg or any other specialization from IITs, BITS and other reputed umiversity. UPSC is another option if that interests you or mba to work in the corporate world.

You may look for lateral entry which is generally termed as transfer credits abroad. Select the country like Canada, New zealand or Germany and good universities in each. Check their requirement as they have different criterias for admission. To start with, you may write to any one university about the programme you are interested in stating that you are a diploma holder. They will guide you further after that at each step.
