If you do BTech Automobile your career is restricted to Automobile industry only. Where as as Mechanical engineer you can work in all industries including Automobile. By the Automobile Engineering is a specialisation under Mechanical engineering.

Automobile Engineering is a specialized course. To keep your chances open, you may opt for Mechanical Engineering and choose the specialized domains of study only after B.Tech
I will suggest you University of Engineering & Management (UEM) under IEM group. Students passing out from IEM and UEM are all having 1-2 job offers. Neither is the best choice for automobile engg., the best is Germany and cost is the least, however getting admission requires the help of a good and reputed consultant, suggest you use the help of one.If it is MS in Mechanical then i suggest Australia, however, the budget will be around Rs 40 lacs.
